The Energy and Commodity Finance Conference 2016 follows in the footsteps of a long standing series of

Energy Finance meetings that held their first event in London in 2004 and nowadays represents the benchmark

academic conference in the area.

ROUND TABLE ON "THE FINANCIALIZATION OF ENERGY AND COMMODITY MARKETS"

A round table will gather academic and professional experts discussing major aspects about the "Financialization of Energy and Commodity Markets" in the current global environment, including international trading and investment opportunities, production-side corporate finance challenges, end consumer dynamics, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance. Invited practitioners from Cargill International, E.ON Global Commodities, EpexSpot, GDF-Suez, Lafarge-Holcim, Noble Group, Paul Hasting, Société Générale, and other major players will participate and interact with conference participants. The round table takes place on a penicheboat in front of Eiffel Tower and will be followed by dinner and tour over La Seine river.

ENERGY AND COMMODITY FINANCE ASSOCIATION: FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The Association was founded on December 16, 2015 in Paris, under the endorsement of colleagues at the University of Oxford, University of Duisburg-Essen, ESSEC Business School Paris - Singapore, University Paris Dauphine, University of St. Gallen,Wroclaw University of Technology, and the University of Sussex. The first general assembly will take place on June 23, 2016. All conference participants get a one-year free subscription to the association and are entitled to vote at the meeting.


SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Manuscripts (paper draft or complete article) should be submitted online at: http://ecomfin2016.essec.edu/submit-a-paper

All manuscripts are refereed through a peer-review process.


IMPORTANT DATES

December 1, 2015: Opening of the submission process

March 7, 2016: Submission deadline (full/working papers, PDF files)

March 22, 2016: Notification of acceptance/rejection

April 15, 2016: Registration deadline for conference presenters (ensuring inclusion into the program) 

May 1, 2016: Registration deadline for all participants (early bird)
